….and THIS is why I love family dinners so much!

This video is from one of the family dinners we had while hosting our families here at our house over Christmas.  I think that this is a perfect example of why some of my best memories are from around the family dinner table.  There is nothing better then sharing wine, stories and laughing for hours, [...]

2009 Year in Review

January 2009 The first ultrasound. February 2009 Valentine’s Day celebration on the Opryland Hotel.   March 2009 Trip to Washington D.C. to visit my friend Caroline and Arlington National Cemetery where there is a memorial to my former commander, COL Brian Allgood, killed in Iraq on January 20th, 2007.   April 2009 Trip to Las [...]

You can call me Monica Geller

I think the picture below appropriately portrays my affinity for organization.  It’s pretty sad that I was looking forward to taking down the Christmas decorations because I couldn’t wait to organize them in their shiny new (on SALE!) bins. “You call eight hours alone with my label maker wasted time!” – Monica Geller, Friends

14 Week Old Picture

I should have posted this yesterday, but there are only 24 hours in a day and I do need to sleep for a few of those. I plan on doing a year in review post, but just need to find some time to sit down and actually do it.  I am in the middle of [...]

New Year’s Resolutions

I’ve never been big on the whole idea of a New Year’s Resolution, however, I do have a few for this year.  I am hoping that actually putting them in writing will hold me more accountable for my future success.  1.  Lose the baby weight plus some.  I wrote about this previously, I just haven’t [...]

A Very Merry Christmas

ICE!: Charlie Brown Style

On Monday afternoon, the seven of us (me, Ash, Reagan, my parents, my brother and Ash’s mom) drove to Nashville to see the ICE! exhibit. I have to say that I was pretty impressed. The admission was a little pricey (thanks Dad!) but the exhibit was really cool. Everything was made out of colored ice. [...]

Early Morning Sing-A-Long

I recorded this early this morning. Both Reagan and I were unable to sleep. She LOVES to sing. She even sang with us in church on Christmas Eve. It was hilarious. She was belting it out and making everyone laugh.

Christmas Through the Years

I thought it would be interesting to post some pictures from Christmases past. It’s been interesting to look at all these old pictures and to see just how much life has changed. Seoul, Korea – December 2005 Me and my friend Alice. This is a HUGE Christmas tree in one of the big hotels. We [...]

Big Girl Bed

That’s right! Reagan is now sleeping in her “Big Girl” bed, AKA her crib. We made the move two nights ago and it seems to be going well. The first night we had a hard time getting her down. We finally got her down around 11:30PM and she slept straight through the night until 7AM. [...]

  • Hi! My name is Erin and welcome to my little slice of the internet. I'm a 29 year old OIF veteran, lover of Patriot football, Zumba addict and full time student. I started this blog to keep my friends and family informed on our growing family. My husband is on active duty and the Army has us stationed far away from our families.

In August 2010 I began my graduate studies at Vanderbilt University. I am studying to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and plan on graduating in August 2012. It has proven to be a tough exercise in time management and balance, but anything worth it requires hard work!!

    Thanks for stopping by!
