Perspective

There are many things that the almost six years on active duty army “taught” me: A bigger appreciation for the freedoms that come with being a citizen of this great country. Enjoy your time off! Nothing can replace your family. Friends are a blessing, especially the ones that understand what it’s like to be in [...]

11 Month Old Picture

……and we have a walker!!!  On the day Reagan turned 11 months old, she took her first unassisted steps.  And we got it on video!  This is actually the second time she walked, but close enough.  The only place we could get her to do it a second time was in her play yard.  She [...]

Three days later

After three days of orientation, I am hoping that I am ready! I was so nervous to start orientation on Wednesday.  We spent the three days going over expectations, information technology, HIPPA, and whole bunch of other stuff. Friday was an exciting day!! We were fitted for our N95 respirator, received locker assignment (typing that [...]

Only a few more weeks until Reagan turns one!  It amazes me.  I still can’t believe I am in school.  Or that I remembered to take this picture!!!  Pray for my sanity for the next two years…..

How To Be Alone

I love this.  I first saw this over on GGC, started watching it, listening to the words and kept thinking how true they are. How To Be Alone By: Tanya Davis and Andrea Dorfman

This post has been in my draft box for WEEKS!!!  I keep on putting it off, but it’s time to bite the bullet!!  While we were in D.C., one of our many trips was to Mount Vernon, the house where George Washington lived.  Now that a lot of time has passed, the one things that [...]

The first day of the rest of my life.

That is a big statement and I understand that.  I have had a lot of “first day of the rest of my life” moments: Commissioning into the Army in May 2003 Getting married in June 2006 Having Reagan in September 2009….to name a few… …and now this.  This is a new chapter in my story. [...]

  • Hi! My name is Erin and welcome to my little slice of the internet. I'm a 29 year old OIF veteran, lover of Patriot football, Zumba addict and full time student. I started this blog to keep my friends and family informed on our growing family. My husband is on active duty and the Army has us stationed far away from our families.

In August 2010 I began my graduate studies at Vanderbilt University. I am studying to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and plan on graduating in August 2012. It has proven to be a tough exercise in time management and balance, but anything worth it requires hard work!!

    Thanks for stopping by!
