About Us

Ash and I met in the most unexpected place (for me anyway). We met in ROTC during our freshman year at University of Vermont but didn’t start dating until our senior year. We received our branches and post assignments, sending me to Korea and Ash to flight school in Alabama. During a visit out to Korea in December 2005, Ash asked me to marry him.

We moved to Fort Lewis, Washington and were married in June 2006.

In July 2007 I deployed to Iraq….

….and in October 2008 I came home from Iraq.

Due to training that Ash was in at the time, he was unable to be there when I re-deployed, but Maggie was VERY happy that I was home! I processed out of my unit and out of the army, packed all my stuff, and moved to Tennessee to be with Ash. On January 9th, 2009 I found out I was pregnant….

Hi! My name is Erin and welcome to my little slice of the internet. I'm a 29 year old OIF veteran, lover of Patriot football, Zumba addict and full time student. I started this blog to keep my friends and family informed on our growing family. My husband is on active duty and the Army has us stationed far away from our families.

In August 2010 I began my graduate studies at Vanderbilt University. I am studying to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and plan on graduating in August 2012. It has proven to be a tough exercise in time management and balance, but anything worth it requires hard work!!
