Giving Thanks 2010 – NOT being in Korea this year!

Day #23 (November 23rd, 2010) – NOT being in Korea this year! My first duty station after going on active duty and completing OBC was South Korea.  I spent the first year in Daegu, which is a city down south.  Typically, unaccompanied tours were only a year long.  When it came time to start making [...]

Giving Thanks 2010 – Holidays with Family

Day #22 (November 22nd, 2010) – Holidays with Family Thanksgiving, 2009 – Reagan is so little! Being a military family, sometimes it is hard to plan for the holidays.  Schedules change, training changes, deployments change.  Who knows what the Army will throw our way.  We are so lucky this year that we will be together [...]

Giving Thanks 2010 – Sleep

Day #21 (November 21st, 2010) – Sleep Now that I am on vacation for the week, one of the things I was really looking forward to was catching up on my sleep.  I knew that I had been stressed and sleep deprived, but I had no idea just how bad it was.  When I got [...]

Giving Thanks 2010 – VAY-CAY!

Day #20 (November 20th, 2010) – VAY-CAY! {source} That’s right!  I’m on “vacation”.  I have the ENTIRE week of Thanksgiving off.  I definitely need it!  It’s been 14 weeks straight of go, go, go!  School has been kicking my butt.  I can handle the academic side of it and I’m doing REALLY well.  It is [...]

Giving Thanks 2010 – Health

Day #19 (November 19th, 2010) – Health {source} My clinical rotations started three weeks ago, and I have to admit.  Starting clinicals was like getting slapped in the face by reality.  We have spent the better part of the semester learning about all the different problems our patients will have, the various demographics from which [...]

Giving Thanks 2010 – A beautiful home

Day #16 (November 16th, 2010) – A beautiful home You know the old adage….”Home is where the heart is”?  As corny as it may sound, it is SO true.  I always love going on vacation, but coming home is also great.  We are very lucky.  Living down south has allowed up the opportunity to live [...]

Giving Thanks 2010 – Lots of laughter

Day #15 (November 15th, 2010) – Lots of laughter Reagan smiling in her sleep (2 weeks old). There is a lot of laughing at our house.  Whether it is laughing with Reagan, at the dogs or at each other, this is definitely isn’t short of laughter.  I’m sure that there probably aren’t a lot of [...]

  • Hi! My name is Erin and welcome to my little slice of the internet. I'm a 29 year old OIF veteran, lover of Patriot football, Zumba addict and full time student. I started this blog to keep my friends and family informed on our growing family. My husband is on active duty and the Army has us stationed far away from our families.

In August 2010 I began my graduate studies at Vanderbilt University. I am studying to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and plan on graduating in August 2012. It has proven to be a tough exercise in time management and balance, but anything worth it requires hard work!!

    Thanks for stopping by!
